I think the Sattle's concern is sort of political. Youko numbers are dwindling as they have been severely persecuted by humans. Because of their negative experience with humans in general they don't believe that humans could truly love and care for the youko kits. They want the youko kits raised with their own kind to strengthen their numbers and ultimately to protect their race from complete extinction. Unfortunately their life experience has left them embittered and emotionally unable to properly connect with our two tender kits. They need to see the Trumpers as allies and not enemies but that may be beyond their abilities at this point.
Author's Response: I think you've hit the nail on the head, for all of it. They're not suitable parents for these kits even if they are youko! And yeah, beyond their abilities. :(
