Oh, dear god. That just squeezed my heart so much I had to bend over and grasp at my chest. You write their emotion so well, I can feel every little bit. I have to remember to breathe!
This was a perfect start to the next year, and I can't wait for more. I really hope that Tom will let go soon. It makes my heart ache for him so much that he keeps holding it in. :( *cuddles him*

Aw,but Bill in his innocent mind just wanted to put all the good cards in their camp so that they can stay with the Trumpers.
Thanks Talya,that was an awesome chapter.A ver appreciable length.I don't like Aya too much already,but Willis seems like the type to use his brain first and he's more understanding I guess.Very diplomatic and taken in count Simone's feelings.I hope he'll be the voice of reason to his wife after all.
The kits are as cute as ever *_* Ears flattening on the head and sad puppy eyes are making me melt in a puddle of goo.And we have a snippet of what they might become when they grow up.Angels *_*
Poor Simone and Gordon,and poor Bill and Tom. The silence might lead to a quiproquo.Already the kits think that maybe Simone is willing to hand them over to the Slatters,when Simone think that maybe the kits would chose their own kind as she's only human.
That's why talking is good and keeping to oneself is bad.It creates big misunderstanding .Gosh!

It's nice to put out long chapters every now and then. =D Haha, the female youko tend to be more...snappish?...than the men. Fiercer, for certain. Oh my goodness, when they hit puberty they will become nigh irresistible. XD I'm glad to hear I've successfully conveyed so much in one installment! Thank you for the thoughtful review, as always.

Ok. So I had to sleep on this one a little. How frightening for Bill to hear such a conversation about their future. Simone and Gordon are the only stable force in the twins lives at this point and I think it would be very difficult for them to be taken away from eachother now. Bill's fear and worry were so cleat and I felt the same it seemed. I know Tom was angery when Bill called Simone Mom, but his reason for doing it was sort of a sideways way of making her his, of solidifying her place in his mind but I don't think is intention is to replace their birth mother he just needs to move on and doesn't want to be taken way by the other Youko. I understand where Tom is coming from he's messed up inside and it's hard for him to sort out his emotions.He needs help. I think in the long run Gordon and music will be able to help him with that Bill of course it always there. They are right to be terrified. I would be. i wouldn't want to have everything I've come to know taken way from me again and I think Tom would have the worst time of it. Being with their own kind may be easier because youko know more about themselves but it isn't always better. This is a difficult situation and I can't wait to see how it plays out. I feel much drama coming. Update soon.
Author's Response: It was pretty tough to write! These poor kits. And they talked things over, but not everything... so poor Tom, too! They're just getting settled enough to be comfortable and happy and this comes along. Drama definitely coming! Thanks so much for the long and thoughtful review.

Oh I don't even know where to start. This chapter had me going all over the place. How exciting that there are more youko now! But um, they better leave poor Simone alone. Bless her heart, I wanted to hug her.
And poor Bill for getting so scared. And them the whole 'mom' thing, oh Lord. Poor baby Tom, I wanna pet his ears. And then he made Bill cry, which is gonna make him feel even worse...oh I can't wait for the next part.

Wow I almost missed this new story. It would have been a pity. But here i am, reading dutifully as always. Amazing job what you are doing here with this story. and Tom's pain is still raw, still so acute. I wonder when he will find it in him to cry again.

You realise your end notes remind me of the voice over at the end of anime or whatnot? I love this opening - it seems like the first time we've seen a real dispute between the twins, and I think that speaks well of how settled they've gotten and why Bill's so scared or leaving. Seems to me, if he weren't settled, he'd have remained pulled together with Tom. I feel sorry for both of them right now, and even Simone a bit. More soon, yes? XD
