Those kits amuse me to no end. I like this world you've built.
Author's Response: Thank you, so very much! I'm truly enjoying writing them. I'm glad you're reading! =)

I loved it as usual. Tom is so adorable wanting a picnic with only family and a cake, I read that and I just wanted to squeeze him.
Will Bill get his awesome party!? Coming soon: twinfight, publicly expressed bad habits, and the unfortunate consequence of hardwood floors.- I can't wait for this, I am excited.
Author's Response: Thank you so much. =) Tom has a pretty firm handle on what's important to him, I think! Hope you enjoy the next part as much as I did! ;) I appreciate your review.

'unfortunate consequences of hardwood floors' -- LMAO! I can only imagine, I have hardwood floors and it can get hilarious.
Author's Response: For boys, the consequences can be very unfortunate indeed. Thanks for your review! =)

Bill is like a swirling ball of light. The little spoiled brat lol. But your little Tom has stolen my heart from the beginning and he continued to do it here. I can relate to simone's urge to squeeze him until he pops lol.
I don't like your coming soon part about the twinfight. :(
Author's Response: That's a good way to put it! And he is a bit spoiled. He's just accustomed to all of the people in his life pretty much giving him everything he wants. Tom is definitely a darling! I share Simone's urge too. ;)
Twinfights are inevitable, alas.

The twins in red and blue made me smile a wee bit more than it should have. :D
Author's Response: I did not even do that on purpose! Now I'm totally re-reading (or reading) all of your Basai stories. ♥

OMG! I just realized I forgot to review the last chapter :( I'm sorry. I did read it and I was really glad that the Settles didn't take Bill and Tom away.
For this chapter I really liked that Tom was finally expressing his individuality a little more by wearing a different color shirt and also in what kind of birthday party he wanted. He's shy and sweet sometimes and that is something I like about the real Tom as well. I don't worry so much when he at least gives his opinion. It's when he's too quiet that I worry for him so. They are so cute and they are almost eight. I can't imagine how they were at that age just crazy and full of energy. It's cute. Nice job and can't wait to read more:)
Author's Response: Aw, and I'm really attached to your reviews! ;) I missed it! Glad you read - yeah, I bet most people were so relieved they just, uh, forgot to review.
Tom's getting there! I think he's finally accepted the Trumpers wholeheartedly and that's really letting him be free to start expressing himself. Amazingly, he's finding he has opinions that are different from Bill. You're right, though, there's trouble if he's getting too quiet.

Well, since you made my day, I will have to make yours with a review. :)
I love it, as usual. I can't wait to see what the future holds from them, they're just so darling. And I like that they're breaking free from each other, just the tiniest bit, but still together at the same time, like the real Bill and Tom.
Are you gonna have Bill dye his hair black in this? I was trying to think of how it would look, and if he'd have to dye the hair on his ears, too. :P Don't tell me if it'll spoil anything.
Author's Response: You did make my day! =) I'm enjoying their little steps toward becoming their own people.
It's really not a spoiler - yes, Bill's going to dye his hair black when they get a little older. He won't be able to get his ears, but he'll take care of them in another way eventually.

No music? boo!
OMG,there will be some freaky youko puberty crisis and symptoms?XD
Will the twins be in heat?My my,this is getting interesting haha.
Character development is awesome!
than you!
Author's Response: Yeah, they weren't really suitable parents for these particular kits. ;) Ahaha, oh my goodness, I hadn't really considered "in heat" but I suppose that's an apt parallel. I'm so glad you're enjoying the character development! Thanks for your review.

befoooooooooooooooooooooooooreeeeeeeee
they start having sex? :)

Seriously, Aya is such a bitch! Grrr. Does she honestly think treating Simone that way would win over the kits? Really? UGH! And it's pissing me off that if there is something that the Trumpers need to know about the kits, just TELL THEM. What kind of selfish crap is it to keep it to yourself out of spite?? She's making me want to slap a fictional character...which is kinda scary. LOL. But yay for more kits. *squeezes them till they pop*
Author's Response: In general, female youko are bitchier. It's partly a defense mechanism, I think. The female youko are the more aggressive of the species! Ha. But I'm pleased you had such a strong reaction to Aya; I feel as though I did my job right! ;D Thanks for your review, I'm so glad you're enjoying!

Haha! Before they turned and bonded with humans of course, because we humans regard incest as taboo.
I'm reading this more on THF, rather than LJ now, just because I can track thie fic easily here.
Author's Response: Hmmm...close... Yeah, the notifications are a nifty feature, now that they're working for me! Yay for tracking.

Aw, I still want to squeal every time I picture the kits. Now, off to actual reviewing. ;) I'm wondering what she meant! I guess, since we all know it's going to happen eventually, it could have something to do with their early blooming? Maybe there are things about the Youko that are dangerous when left unattended? I don't know, but I'll be patiently waiting to find out!
Author's Response: *grins* And Umetnica helped with a spectacular visual aid! Aya actually meant a couple of different things and unfortunately, since we won't ever have a chapter from her point of view, all we'll get is other characters' speculation. Should be interesting as it develops... Thanks for your review!

Gah! Cliffhangers are horrid, horrid things! And I love them so much!
I know about cultural differences and all that, but I still say they have no right to just barge in and pratically DEMAND that Bill and Tom go with them. Not cool at all.
Besides, when you have people around that care about you, it's never too late.
Author's Response: Aha, now that's the reaction I was looking for! ;) Aya and Wallis were functioning on a bit of an entitlement attitude and it backfired on them, I do believe. Thanks for your review!
Date: 08/26/09 06:06 am Title: What Makes a Family
That youko couple might have a point, but that still doesn't give them the right to come in and disrupt a FAMILY like the Trumpers and the kits.
Author's Response: Very true. *nod* Thanks for your review! =D
Date: 08/26/09 02:11 am Title: Their Decision
I'd say before it's too late connects to the twincestiness, and it's either before it's too late and the humans reject them or... before it's too late and they accidently bond because they don't understand it from a youko point of view. All the couples we've seen so far in youko aren't actually with their twins, though there's reference to them being born as pairs (unless I misunderstood). There's also an implication those pairs experiment but, since they clearly bond elsewhere, I could imagine Aya being concerned about humans guiding kits through something they won't understand.
All in all, still loving this. I like how the twins had a defensive reaction, but find they really mean what they say about the Trumpers as parents. I also adore that Wallis was made more believably through starting to recognise that they had misunderstood the situation as a result of their assumptions. Looking forward to those extra chapters!
Author's Response: I can't say too much, I'd spoil the reveal! ;) But I did want to get people thinking about it and that plays a role, for sure. I'm so pleased you're still loving this! Yeah, Wallis was the prevailing, cooler head of that pairing. They went in with good intentions but a poor execution. More coming soon!

I think it means "before they start rubbing all over each other"
*_*
Author's Response: LOL, I'd hate to say that isn't completely what she meant, but... in part, in part. *looks crafty* Fun times coming up. =D
Date: 08/26/09 01:27 am Title: Their Decision
I'm so drawn in by this. Of course, the twincester in me and the hints you've thrown out seem to mean the kits will have some sort of relationship the humans won't understand. And I'm so interested to see how it will develop! This chapter was beautifully executed, as always. :)
Author's Response: Thank you, that is such a wonderful thing to hear. I keep worrying people will be frustrated with the (very) slow pace but so far not many seem to mind. =D I really appreciate your comments!
Date: 08/26/09 12:58 am Title: Their Decision
Uh oh, something crazy is going to happen, right? Like, some crazy youko weirdo puberty thingy? I don't know!!!
Thanks for the update! :)
Author's Response: CRAZY YOUKO HORMONES. We'll get into speculation in a couple of chapters. :D Thank you for the comment! ♥
