I've mentioned this on other reviews: I came into the TH / THF fandom in Jan’22. The vast majority of fics I've read are quite old and I'm sure the authors have moved on (and probably wont even see new reviews), BUT I figure why not leave one anyway… I enjoyed this fic and wanted to say thank you for writing and sharing it!

I am speechless. It was absolutely amazing, I had a hell of a hard time understanding what Bill says every time but it was SO worth it !
Tom's kindness is the most adorable thing in the world, the way he restrains himself so not to scare Bill or offend him is just too much for my poor heart ...
And I was expecting Bill to be ... a rebel sort of guy, who'd want to escape at anytime and treat Tom like he treats people in the street and he was not and that ... was more than awesome ! Because he was adorable as hell too. He seemed so fragile and strong at the same time, like a strength of character that makes him charismatic and admirable.
I don't even care that they fell in love in two days or anything because it was so pure and beautiful. Tom's apartment is like their cocoon and I can picture them in my head looking at each other, saying nothing but smiling like idiots and my heart literally melt on the spot.
They're just perfect for each other and I could cry just right now ! But it's okay, I'm fine ... i'm fine ! *Ross Geller voice* (

First, I love that you named this after the Cole Porter song "Love for Sale." It's one of my favorite jazz songs of all time, and I only wish I could sing it for auditions *sigh* Second, this was BRILLIANT. It never would have happened, but that does not change how well done this was. The main historical inaccuracy was that there might be a doctor anywhere who would take a prostitute into his home simply for some major bruising in that time period. Also, I doubt Tom's sense of propriety, as the child of landed gentry and as a doctor, a gentleman, and a Christian, would have let him fall in love with a man. At that time, it was illegal, and one could be put in an asylum for being gay. But, ignoring that, it was mostly accurate =) Well done ^-^

You write sex like no other, you write love like no other, you write Bill and Tom like no other... there is simply nothing beating you. I will cling to the memory of this moment for the rest of my TH-life, how happy I am to have read such a "breathlessly lovely" story and how happy I am to know I have many of yours left. Thank you.
