Author's Response: Yeps, I heard the songs back when they were first leaked. I think I'm going to wait until I hear a whole song to decide what I think. 20 seconds just isn't enough for me.

Some of them are alright, you get the good fans who just comment and then go instead of saying stuff like "TOM PLZ COME TO XXX" or "Tom, omg I love you, you're the only one I live for and if you love your fans you'll add me!" Srsly, I saw a comment like that, it's just creepy sometimes.
I like to comment tho, even if there is about 2000 other comments ^^
Author's Response: People were posting twincest manips the first couple of days, and that's what pretty much made me bail the hell out of them. I was hugely disappointed in people for that one. :(
I usually go in, say a line about whatever the heck the video, I mean blog, was about, then slap up the THDOH link. SOMEONE might notice it, and hey, one more reader over there is one more than I had before. :D

I thought it was a pretty good way to bring the cornrows in, too. :D It's nice to have A reason behind them, something we aren't really getting in real life.

So totally wasn't expecting any of this when I started to read this chapter, but it makes absolute perfect sense though -- I mean, he needs kids, right? And the whole mpreg Tom thing wasn't 'canon' so it would have to be like this. I'm glad you addressed it, even though it's putting Tomi through hell, and now I really need to read the next chapter to make sure everything turns out all right!
Author's Response: Exactly! The Emperor needs continue the family line, and, as much as he loves Tom, Tom's not REALLY going to be very forthcoming with the little ones. So E HAD to get married, to make sure that the kids he has are legitimate. It's all for the Empire.

okay...I'm sorry but I find it hard too accept this ending. I respect you as a writer, and your opinion on how this story should end, but I think you are destroying your own story. The whole serie is based on the growing love of Tom and the emperor and how strong it is. they love eachother till death, and just because of one little thing they break up and the story ends. I understand that E would honour Tom's choice to not have any contact anymore, still I think that troughout the whole story E has proven himself to be driven and studborn. it bothers me that in the case of wich he is losing Tom a.k.a. his one big love, that he immidiatly gives up. I suspected he would at least come trough the mirror one more time to leave a letter for Tom.
Also the subject with Bill and Amara. Amara got permission fron E to 'start a relationship' with Bill, wich should mean that Amara should be allowed to visit Bill in his world. I loved the whole serie, but the last 2 chapters have totally ruined the story for me. I'm sorry for having to say that. I just think that the whole characters you described in the other parts, make a complete turn when it comes to these last chapters. Personnaly I would like to to see a part 9 in wich everything turns out for the best, but as I said, I respect your writingidea's and won't be a big baby if it doesn't happen...though I am slightly dissapointed with the last 2 chapters, compared to the whole story.
Please don't take this as a review with ill intent, since that is nog my wish.

Honestly, it's the fact that the Emperor IS stubborn that HE won't come back. He made a promise and he is one to keep his word. Tom wants him gone, he no longer makes Tom happy, and he's willing to walk away and stay away because it's what Tom wants from him. It's better to be gone than to try to force himself at someone who's going to keep pushing him away. After all, they've already done that.
And, with the mirror being closed, that's the end of the connection. At least unless someone wants to go against the Emperor's decree.

Now that I've realized that this was the end (because I'm an idiot and I don't look) and re-read the last sentence, knowing it's the end, I feel satisfied now (unlike earlier on LJ).
I feel sad now. Its over. Really really over. Both the story and Tom and E.
But there are still possible cookies to look forward to, right?

You are an amazing writer, this is the first time I've ever actually felt sad for a character. Part of me hopes that you will eventually remove the 'series closed' tag and add another part, but this was such a well written ending that a happy ending would wreck it. Thanks for the neat canon, though :).

Aw, geez. I don't even really know what to say. He sounded like a harmonal woman. But that's the way it was back when kings and emperors ruled. Marriage was a form of alliance, and usually not more than that.
