They should’ve ended it on a lovers note with how madly in love they are, and young upon that, they’ve never known each other as anything other then lovers so why shouldn’t they continue with it.. otherwise the story is amazing

Great story! Cool plot, I did not see it coming. Hopefully, Bill and Tom will do fine and learn again to be happy.

There are some stories we read that we don't want to see end. This was one of them - and I admit, it surprised me.
My thoughts during my previous review on this story was a little tentative but positive. Shortly after, when I came across the vampire history, I felt faintly disappointed. I didn't submit a review then, because it seemed a moot point when the work has been finished. It's hypocritical when my first fic for THF *is* a vampire fic.. but well.. So I read on, and the story took on more nuances and depths that made me feel like this has the potential for something... more. That's why I was sorry to see it end. I would dearly love to see an epilogue but having said that, I'm probably hoping in vain.
While I enjoy stories that leave you thinking and this one really does - thank you so much - I also love closed endings, things that run full circle; but in it's own way, what Tom and Bill did in the end, with Simone's death (and that would take another paragraph so perhaps I won't..) is their coming full circle, fulfilling their own destiny, whatever it may be. In my mind, they do find a way to be together... And I've really rambled on, but no surprise that I'm putting this story amongst my favourites.
Thank you for writing and sharing.

Is Tom a wayward Ajhin? One moment he's being kind and even gentle towards Bill, the next, he's.. perving.
And damned if I don't love it.

This story becomes more intriguing. Loving the building up of a history here and the surprise of Bill's kidnapping. I especially love that the main motive for his captivity isn't for purely sexual reasons as it's often been done.

Just found this and wow. First chapters can be a hit or miss, and what captured my attention was Bill's captivation with the culture of India, the colours and noise of the place. His relationship with Andreas really paled in comparison and Tom's appearance into the story was hot like India itself.
Reading on!

I loved the fic, I really did!! But I expected a bit more of the ending.. I guess I wanted to know what would happen next, you know? If they'd still remain lovers, if the Ajhin would accept Tom as a leader, etc.. But still, great story!! =)

I was a little skeptic about this fic when we reached the part that looked like it would include Twilight vampire motives, but then you twisted around that so skillfully, so believably, that I couldn't find it in myself not to like this story. :3 I loved every bit of it, all the drama, mystery, everything. The truth in the end surprised me, which is good, because it doesn't happen very often, and, well, I have a feeling that things will work out for those two. Even if it was an open ending of a sort. I should've been doing homework rather than reading this, but I couldn't stop. The writing was just so addictive. :) Thank you for writing this story!

- Tom's fall finally comes to an end, he finally talks to Bill. Despite the fact they're happy together, he confesses that something is perturbing him.
- Tom was raised and trained to be a blind assassin. He trusted his mother and she seems to have taken advantage of it. So sometimes, he didn't know who he killed???? Finding his mother probably lied to him is so hard for Tom and I truly understand why he was so disturbed.
- Oh my god!!!!! Tom killed Bill's parents. They're roughtly the same age, so Tom was more or less 16 when he did it? What kind of mother pushes his child to do it?? But why Simone order him to do it? What were her motives? Simone looks now so cold and calculating.
- Oh my God!!!!! ( sorry but I was so surprised) Tom and Bill are twins???? I never saw the warning!!! but it explains a lot....
- Simone only had eyes for Tom. She neglected Bill because he was not good enough for her and a bit of curious about the world around him - like he still is....How can a mother do that? She had to not really love Gordon if she made him go away like this, without being really bothered.
But all makes sense now. Each question about Bill's bloodline, the visions, Tom and the prophesy...Simone is really a monster, the word Bill uses to describe her is the right one. She made all this just for Tom to be the perfect leader. She was selfish, and what if Tom didn't want this destiny and only whished to grow up near his brother???
- Bill is so rough and fierce when he knows the truth, his animal spirit isn't usurped. He really wants to kill Simone and she provokes him. Why? She thinks he can't do it or does she really want to die by his hands?
- Since when was Tom in the chamber? I almost expected him to kill Simone since Bill couldn't do it.....But another surprise!!!! Gustav was there too, and his prophesy was to protect the twins....Woah Your plot was amazing!!!!
- I think they must say the truth about Simone's death after all the years of lies she leaded the Ajhin.
- But what about Bill and Tom? Are they only brothers? Only lovers? Or both? All their lives were a lie. How will they be able to be together and to start over?
I can't help but hope they will somehow manage it, even if it will be hard to overcome all the lies.
- I love the last scene, with the sun rising above Bech Alchim. The mountain was a part of this story, it lives, cries, hurts like its inhabitants.
- it was an amazing final. I'm a bit surprised and disappointed there is no true conclusion. The end is open and I only imagine their future will be bright. It was tricky too, I have all proofs and hints but you manage to surprise me until the end.
This story was wonderful....But I have one last question, maybe a bit silly but....In which language do they talk in Bech Alchim???
Love and kiss
Ps: It seems to me that I often make this demand but....I can't help myself.
I'm french and I do a lot of translation to share the stories I loved best.
So since I liked this so much, I wonder if you would allow me to translate it in french.
You don't have to say yes, but it would be wonderful if you did.
Thanks in advance and for this super story.

Date: 09/17/11 04:38 pm Title: an approaching sunrise
- A chapter rather calm....before the storm for the next chapter, maybe....
- Bill is now truly at his place. With Tom, Gustav, Annabelle, he is totally at home. But you never say what kind of Ajhin he has become finally.
- It's still a mystery why he hasn't been here sooner, his birth as an Ajhin is sure, but he wasn't raised in Bech Alchim, so what happened? Which one of his parents did hold the Ajhin line? Did they deny their blood? Will I have the answers in next chapter? I hope so.
- Simone....the more time passes by, the more she seems awkward. There is a crack in her mask of previous kindness, like she was too perfect to be true. Since she hit Tom, I wonder if all her actions were only acts...And his argument with Gustav doesn't prove me wrong.
- Despite their love, Tom and Bill have issues. Can they overcome Tom's uneasiness? Their love appears so soft and strong...but can it beat their problem?
- What a wonderful moment of tenderness, music, love it couldn't be better. A perfect moment...before the fall????
- Bill has still questions, some things never change.;p The explanations about the visions finally come, and I find it really nice and cute. “one with yourself”
- It's the first time Bill bites Tom, I was so eager to see it and I must say I'm not disappointed. There is this harmony between them, despite Tom's issues. The bite is so beautiful and strong, heart-rending - as much as when Tom bites him- this bite is a reflection of their love for each other.
But I feel this can't go on. I fear something will come between us. I know Bill's and my questions will have answers in the last chapter but those answers can be the end of what they have and knew so far.
Date: 09/17/11 01:30 pm Title: a bloody past
- the first 'I love you' finally came out, and it's from Tom. It shows what they have overcomed to be there in each other's arms. They finally a real couple, so close and complementary even if very different...
- it's such a beautiful night, full of love, Bill is finally at home and everything seems to fall in place.
- But the prophesy intrigues Bill, of course. Its riddles are very complicated, Bill only found a partial explanation thanks to Tom. The last bits will come sooner or later.
- What Bill understood of the prophesy pushes him to finally talk about his parents with Tom. What happened was so hard for him and not knowing who to blame for his loss is heartbreaking.
So the murderer leave no evidence, and a fear overcomes me....Isn't it an Ahjin's specificity to kill without being killed???? An Ajhin would have killed them? But why them and not Bill? Because he is a future Ajhin? But then one of his parents must have been an Ajhin too....So disturbing!!!!
- David would be a fake friend for Bill???? It's hard to believe when Bill remembers all David did for him. But Bill seems to think it's possible. Is he right or does he just bend the reality to fit what he wants in order to finally have the murderer of his parents?
- What happened to Tom? Bill's story is not really bloody and very detailed. I'm sure Tom saw more gruesome things when he was out doing missions...There must be something else that perturbed him, but what???
- Bill has a really bad habit to eavesdrop... and Annabelle somehow encourages him in it, I find it a bit funny even if the situation isn't.
- Simone hits his son....she seems to take the upper end in their relationship when before Tom seemed to have it. But now he looks so fragile, like a child, unlike his usual cocky self. What did he accuse his mother of? Has it a link with Bill's parents? What does Tom know about it and how? How has Simone something to do about it? Does she manipulate his son in doing something?
Annabelle is right, their relation ship is very complex
- All this left Bill – and me- with so much more questions once more, and he still has very few answers about them. What about Tom's dad? What impact will he have on Tom and Bill's relation?? How will all those mysteries and unsaid things?
Date: 09/17/11 01:19 pm Title: Ajhin at last
- Oh, the dreaded question about Bill's past and his grand-mother....but there is no answer nonetheless; only more questions and a bit of sorrow....There's an improvement about his parents, Bill is almost ready to talk about them...however it's not for now, but we can see it's important for him to tell Tom and maybe it will be good for Bill's soul to open up on this painful subject.
- Their relation is still secret, why that? Do they only want to let it blossom at their pace? Is it because they know some people might be against it? Simone for exemple???
- Tom wanted to kill Georg when the latter bit Bill....but he never confronted his friend about it before this scene. And it isn't mentioned. The tension between the two friends soon disappears. It's strange, Bill was the subject of their “argument” and yet he' s also what makes them up.
- So Bill's turning ceremony finally comes, and it seems to be quite a surprise for Bill, but for Tom too. I was eager for it to happen.
- Bill and Tom are really an item, even if they never trully talked about what there's between them, it was made naturally. One thing doesn't change however, the sexual tension between them is still there, even it has evolved in something more tender and sweet. The way Tom doesn't want Bill to be hurt is a prove of it and it's very cute.
Tom's question about Bill's possible fears could have put a hold on their relation but for once they really talk, and I think it was something that lacked before. They talk about them now, before this great change in Bill's life that will affect everything. The “us” is finally official and the L word is even said, it slipped out but now they really know it's mutual.
- Tattoo...ouch, I feared something like that since Georg talked about the eagle, Bill will suffer. But I can't help but think about Tom. His tattoo is quite large....it must have been a torture for him back there.
- I liked the sexy time....and I'm sure Bill needed it to forget what will happen and to celebrate their mutual feelings...
- Bill's new friends are here to help him during his ceremony, mostly Gustav who makes his best to appease Bill. He found his place in Bech Alchim, he's really at home. But he's scared nonetheless, even if he wants to be an Ahjin so bad.
- Bill fears what will happen, he's anxious for a good reason but his “maybe” made me laugh, it's so like him. Since he came to Bech Alchim, Bill hasn't change, he has evolved, so in some ways he's still the same.
- The first bite of Bill...it's a bit strange but so strong, and an amazing experience. I can wait to see what it will be with Tom, even if I would have loved to happen during this ceremony...it will be a private thing only between us then.
And when Bill had to be bitten, it's Loraine. I feared one second it would be Mariah. I don't know why but I wouldn't have liked it.
- The flashbacks are totally interesting....a tad confusing but interesting. What do the snake and the ravens mean? The swans are to be linked to the previous flashback with Tom and I mostly figure it out since Bill saw the brick.
- The tattoo is finally made, it hurts, of course, I almost expected Tom to do a foolish move because he couldn't stand Bill's pain, but he knew better than doing it.
- The most interesting part of this chapter is the prophesy. It's Bill's past, present and future in one . But like every prophesy it must be deciphered for Bill to be in peace with himself. Even Tom has a place in this prophesy with the line about “love with the fire”....But I can't help to wonder if he has another place more complex too.
Bill has even a clue on his parents' murderer, but will it be enough to find who it was? Bill would have to decipher all the lines in the right way to not misinterpret
And I have to wonder....who else has a prophesy??? Gustav???Tom???
Date: 09/17/11 01:01 pm Title: animal
- Gustav always takes care of Bill, it's not like he's Bill's personal servant, it's much better than that.
- Was the relation between Tom and Bill just once??? Was it an urge that now is appeased? No, it's seems to be still so strong and Bill still questions it because he wants more of it and more than it.
Bill has a need to be attached to someone, but the problem with Tom, is that all happens too fast and Bill doesn't know if it could have happened with anybody or if Tom is so special to him already...
- Bill's questions about werewolves are quite funny but genuine. After all he saw and leart since being in Bech Alchim, it's understandable...
- So...each Ajhin has an animal spirit and the tattoo is like a link with the animal...I like this symbolism. Gustav is a turtle, I think it's rather cute. Bill's animal is a hunter, and despite all his doubts, I find it suits him very well.
- Tom bites Bill once more. I can't help but feel Simone didn't randomly choose his son to do it. Does she know they're lovers despite her ban? Will the bite reinforce the link between Tom and Bill? It can't be so innocent.
- Bill is scared in his vision but not completely, it seems familiar because, after all, it's a part of him so he wouldn't be afraid of himself.
A black panther....of course, I should have know it thanks to the wonderful banner.
- I was right, the bite during this ceremony brought a new level in the relation between Tom and Bill, and it become more tender now.
- Tom's animal is a dragon???? It suits him well too, the dragon is fierce, untamed, imposing....like Tom is....you really choose their animals right. And the flames on Tom's skin, I can easily picture them....and it's so sexy I almost drooled.
- “Gonna make me fall in love”.....I'm afraid it's already too late for them, and I don't think it's a bad thing, neither do they...
- This chapter was a bit short, but I found it very instructive about Ajhin and things are more clear between Bill and Tom, they moved forward in somehow accepting what they feel.
Date: 09/17/11 12:40 pm Title: consequences
- Bill and Annabelle's friendship is growing. Bill uses her but Annabelle uses him as well..they want and need someone so their use of the other is harmless and I think it's better for them that way. A bit of naïvety in the special world that Bech Alchim is.
- Bill's nightmares have disapeared. Is it a sign that the belonging he feels about Bech Alchim appeases his soul but what about his parents? Is he forgetting them or just the horror of their death? And is it better for him to forget or not?
- Training with Georg... Which way will take Bill? I agree with Georg, Bill has maybe the capacities to become a warrior but he hasn't the soul of a killer, it's not the first time I think about it. Bill will surely be a preserver.
- Oh, why is Georg so upset about the fact that Bill let Tom bited him? Georg wanted to be the first to do it to Bill, he's jealous of Tom since a long time, it seems. How can he be so envious of his friend and BE is friend?
- How can Georg say or even know that Bill is not for Tom? Who is he to decide this? Even Simone who doesn't really want Tom and Bill to be close, hasn't forbiddent it.
Georg is so upset that he bites Bill? So when the blood is not given freely, it's like a rape. Georg lost control but I can't help but still think that Bill is special. Or else why is everybody so eager to have him? Is it something in his body, his blood maybe? Or something in his mind??? I don't know and it confuses me.
- Tom comes back to Bill. The latter is at ease and confident, he somehow needs Tom but is nonetheless a bit disturbed by this need.
- One could think that Bill begs this from Tom for the wrong reasons. After all, they barely know each other and they barely can explain why they want the other so bad. It could be too disturbing but it's rather a turn on for them
- Of course, Tom had to see the bite....how could Bill have hidden it, even if he had wanted. Tom seems to take it like a personal betrayal that Georg bited Bill. It is worst for him that it's Georg, would he have taken it better if it has been somebody else? I doubt it. But how will it affect Tom and Georg's friendship? Bill barely keeps Tom to go and kill his friend...
- There's still this passion, this fire between Tom and Bill each time they're near the other...And the parallel between bite and making love is very interesting.... I almost believe that Bill was going to bite Tom...I didn't dream the hurt in his gums, did I? Bill's fangs were about to come out. Would Bill bite Tom one day? What will he feel then? But Bill still dislike blood and fears that it's not normal for him to want it that way. Bill tries to resist what he feels, but I'm sure this need won't go too far and sooner or later, he will give in and taste blood.
- Bill has always so many questions and wonders if he is really a true Ajhin. He queries all his life ans his choices....so unsure of himself. And this feeling towards Tom, it's too soon to call it love, but neither can doubt there's something between them.
- Funny how Tom groans against the nickname, but I'm adamant that inwardly he loves it!!!
