Awww..... My hate for tom is diminishing. I still think he could be a better father to Mani. Like Bill basically suggested, Tom should have been everything his parents weren't and Mani would have a pretty awesome life. Aside from his separation from his papa.
Bill is such the typical pregnant person, eating all that junk. He can't continue to blame Jamie for all that weight gain.

I forgot to mention, I loved this chapter because of the way Tom finally opened up. I now feel sorry for him, a life like that would suck. To find out why he acts the way he does and why is was angry and brought up the whole drug issue makes me sympathy with him.

However...his admittance about Mani just totally broke my heart, because I can FEEL he means it. I can't fault him that. I'm not Bill, but I take back every single horrid thing I've said about him.
I can see the little boy inside Tom that's still feeling alienated from his own life.
I give him the chance that he tried.
I want him to finally be at peace with who he is, but I know that won't happen for a bit yet, all I know is that Alex is the poison in his life and he won't be able to be the father Mani needs until she's gone.
