New reader :) I think the kits are adorable. I kinda don't picture them as Bill and Tom, though, more like their own characters with just a few similarities. Don't worry, that's not a bad thing! I can't wait to read more.

I always think of ritsuka in loveless when i read this.But now even more since Bill has his ear pierced.
*pets Tom* he has anger issues,or something.I don't know if that is the right term lol.I think he really need to exteriorize his feelings.He needs to open the bubble full of pain and grief he has in himself to get rid of that strange angry mood he has constantly.He didn't mourn his parents properly like Bill did,he didn't let himself breakdown and its building up inside him.It has to come out in order for him to feel better.
I feel like Simone wanted to be angry,but she couldn't because Tom's reaction was to protect Bill.She could forgive that but it doesn't mean that it doesn't hurt.
Tom's still up to more trouble.I'm so sorry for him.I'm sorry he feels that way.
I still adore the pace of this fic ^_^
can't wait to read the sequel already XD or year two or something...I love how it's building up slowly.It will make their bond more believable and stronger.More intensity in every aspect of their future relationship.And finally,after billions of words writen:M-preg please.*_* Even if it's just a OS.I know i'm thinking too far already,but this universe if fantastic!

Author's Response: Hee, thank you! Haha, Ritsuka is a good basis for appearance, although the twins are blond. Similar, although Loveless is kitty ears and these are youko.
Tom definitely has anger issues. But he's very self-contained, and I think he suppresses and sublimates a lot of what he's feeling. Then acts out in other ways.
You got Simone's reaction, for sure! She wanted to be angry but she knew that Tom was only lashing out to protect Bill.

I have just been reading your reviews and you really are deserving of all the love and praise you are getting =)
I have a question about the story as a whole which you may or may not be able to answer at this stage. Are you planning a multi storied series as the years go bye? And what sort of length of time frame have you got planed out already? I am asking because I am not sure if I should be expecting something in the realms of a longish 60- chapter fic or if you are in fact writing something that in print would be closer to fully fledged novel rather than novella size. It just lets the readers know what kind of time commitment (not that it’s anything other than a pleasure) we are making =)

This is going to be a multi-storied series. I'm planning on writing ten years' worth. Some of the years will go by MUCH faster than others, but many years will approach novella length. (Year one is already novella length.) I'm going to try to keep updating at least a chapter per week, preferably two, to keep things moving along.

Oh my gosh! kjdfhgflksg!!! I just finished reading all the way through and I'm so glad I've caught up now. The world you have created here is absolutely wondrous and fantastic and you write everything so well. The way you write Bill and Tom is so perfect and is so them and I just want to scoop them up and cuddle them. Plus, the fact that they're youko makes it so much more wonderful; it's so unique and I can see everything in my mind's eye with great detail. You are a fantastic writer and story teller! I can't wait for more, and must refrain from wishing I had cute little ears too. lol

Soooo, soooo good. As always. Your writing is a joy to read. And I can really sympathise with Tom. He was following his instincts and his first priority is protecting Bill. But poor Simone...I think this is the moment she realised no matter how close they'll get with the twins, no matter how deeply they would accept her one day, there will still be a gap, because humans and youko are inherently different, obey different rules.
I liked this chapter very much.

Awww Tomi....He seems scared that his brother will be taken away and doesn't want him to change because of it. This seems to be his way of letting the grief out. Tom is so precious protecting his Bill. The whole thing is heartbreakingly adorable. Darcy and I want Tom to stop being such a punk, but at the same time, we love him being a brat, too.
