Though,you didn't write it,I automatically thought that Tom's ears were flat on his head when he licked his brother's tears.That scene was so cute!And their innocent kissing...OMG! Let's squish the twins together and hug them till their faces turn blue! lol kidding!

Gordon understands more the kits than Simone eventhough he doesn't spend so much time with them than she does. She's assuming things too much.I understand she means well,but sometimes it's just reckless and in the end considered inconsiderate of her.One thing is sure:she made Tom even more defensive.That can't be good.And the kit has yet to let his walls fall down and allow himself to open up.
The summer activities sound really cool.Talking about summer,these kits seem to be enjoying the heat.Their metabolism welcom it way better than the humans lol.I bet they're feeling at ease on a tree also,climbing and stuff.Maybe you already wrote that and I didn't pay attention(with the tree house I mean lol)

I love how you somewhat,keep them partly "in character" and coordinate their development with the real Ks,at least of what we know ;like Bill's love for shiny,the motto,singing,Tom and guitar etc...Little things like that.And the details of course.I'm a sucker for details,i love them!

XD I'm really, really happy that Gordon's speech resonated with so many people; it kind of surprised me, it's something I hadn't scripted. I have been in love with this story from the moment you posted you're first chapter. This is by far one of the best stories on here! I just want to scream to everyone who looks at you're story and second guesses it when it happens to be one of the best! It's simply outstanding. Stunning really. The word this is based in is so original and very well described and thought out! I freak every time I see that this had been updated. You HAVE to write the newest part soon or I will die! I really can't get enough of this.
P.S. You know you're story is good when the makers of this site are the ones behind you're featuring. ;)

Yay!!! I was so happy to see that you updated:)
This was an emotional chapter, but the beginning was cute with the kits being upset that school ended. I thought it was really funny that they seemed so sad about it and wondered why it had to stop. When they got to the house and Bill was looking down the road, it was such a symbolic thing. He was looking at where they had been and he was just so thoughtful about it. Tom being his quiet self just let Bill go with his mind. Sometimes when I think about my parents I feel the same way. I think of where I've been and the things that brought me to this point. It's hard to loose them, but Gordon said it best when he said it was like a road you travel because it truly is. It is a road I've been traveling for about 9 years with my father and 3 with my mother. It's the worst when you go through the memorials because you have the time from when you hear the news to the time you get to the memorials so work it out, but then you dig it all back up again just to remember. It seems like the worst thing, but in the end there is usually closure. I hope that Bill and Tom found enough closure to begin moving on again. Toms reaction when Bill ran away was so perfect. You could feel his mind working and he wanted so much to protect his brother from the pain. His almost anger towards Simone and Gordon. This chapter was well done and beautiful. The end of year one. Author's Response: Thank you! Sorry for the long wait; the chapter had so much going on, it gave me a bit of trouble. Haha, being homeschooled, the kits were used to constant schooling, so such a long break seems very... wasteful to them, I suppose? But they weren't used to being schooled for such a long time every day, so I suppose it balances out.
I'm really glad the metaphor worked for you. I've lost people as well, but no one from my immediate family, so I was really pleased to come up with something that seems to be resonating with people. I think it was hard for Tom and Bill but probably did provide them with closure whether they realized or not. Thank you so much for your review! More to come, soon.

Ahahaha! Tay, I finally got the chance to read through the whole thing, and I tell you, the adorable-ness of the kits will never wane for me. I kinda wish they'll never grow up. But, like Simone in that twin hand-holding scene, when Bill declared that they'd be holding hands forever... that kind of feeling, you know? I love this! And no past tense, too!

I hope he and Kas get along one day. Soetimes, with cats, you really have to be firm, and showthem no fear. At least with my cat, anyway. She's a bitch of the highest caliber, and she has no problem letting people know that, either!
