And my brother lost one of his front teeth too, it had to be pulled. He loved to go into stores and smile widely at the cassiers, just to see their reactions. It's hilarius, they are shocked but try to be friendly at the same time. You should sooo make Tom and Bill do a thing like that when Tom gets over his shyness! :P
