tom and bill still want to kep hiding their relationship, but one day while in their room making out, gustav walkes in on them. one of the parents has let him in and never thought that he could possibly interupt anything...

i know that that might not be what u wanted the fic to be like at all, but a girl can try, can't she? (A)

Finally. Thank you for posting the end. Overall it's a beautiful story. I love the scene where they confess their love in the snowy night.
And of all the easily forgotten female characters in a slash story. I think I'm going to remember Janie.

I'm in the minority here, but while this chapter was still written really well, it sort of seemed like the plot went kind of wonky.

And trust me, I'm not trying to be mean. I think you write wonderfully and I've been wondering where this story was for the past few weeks, I've missed it so. So it was kind of a disappointment to finally see it updated, squeal with excitement, begin to read and kind of go: "Huh?"

After ending the previous chapter with Gustav confronting Bill, I guess I thought it was going to go in a different direction. Like Bill and Tom exploring their budding new relationship, trying to hide it from their parents and friends alike. Etc. Etc. But now it's like, why is Gustav so upset about Bill's newfound Tom appreciation? It's been known for enemies to become friends, so what's really his problem? Does he like Bill himself? Is he homophobic? Is he just pissed because he thinks Bill is lying? The scene with Gustav didn't make sense to me because WHY is Gustav so pissed? And then Bill runs off and I'm not sure why Bill is so upset either. I mean it's not like he and Tom are doing anything wrong by becoming friends--at least that is what Gustav and the other boys should think. I know they are keeping things secret because it's complicated with them being stepbrothers.

Anyhow, my point in all of this is that this story is WAY too good for you to lose the plot now--and you've been suffering from writer's block which can contribute to that. I've suffered from WB before, trust me, so here's a few suggestions that might help. 1) Sit back and look at your story you've written so far. Outline it if you have to. Where do you want the story to go? Did you have an original plot outline that changed while you were writing it? Or not? If not, think about where you want them to go forward with now. Like I said, explore their new relationship a bit more. They just got together, maybe shake things up a bit? Have the parents find out? At this point you need some conflict or something to keep the plot going. Don't force yourself to write if you have WB. It won't solve anything.

Sorry. I am trying to give constructive criticism here because I really enjoy this story and I don't want to see it falter like this. While this chapter was okay, it still seemed a bit out of place and not up to your usual excellent standards. I really suggest doing a plot outline to see what you want to happen in future chapters.

Author's Response: ^_^ First off, why would I hate you? Well, I don't, criticism and such is always helpful. I guess I can see as to why you're confused, though I'm not sure if it was just the long delay for an update or maybe getting fics messed up in your mind, but... no one else seems to be so confused, or at the least.. they didn't mention it. I've asked a couple people if they were confused, they said no. *shrugs* I don't know, I can see where you're coming from though. So... let's see. WHY is Gustav soooooo pissed... put yourself in his shoes. Maybe it's just the idea of his best-friend lying to him, or keeping something as powerful as a relationship a secret from him. Plus, Gustav's picked up on the relationship from the secretive smiles and such. And he knows Bill best, and there's the fact that Bill can't lie, so it was very evident that Bill was lying to him, which is yet another reason to be pissed. As for Bill... full of emotion, overwhelmed with the knowledge that Gustav is very very very quickly catching onto his relationship with Tom. Hopefully that helped a bit, if not... I'll be sure to brush upon answers to your questions in the next chapter (not sure if it'll just be an epilogue or if i'll keep it going.. have to decide on that first).
