This story reminds me of a perpetual itch, that is satisfied in the end. Bill and Tom are so adorable, Tom is carachterized in a perfect way, because he's desperate but also protective towards his brother, like in the real life.

Knowing the game, Georg smiled and threw Tom an adoring look as the flustered girl swiped Tom’s credit card and processed the transaction without saying another word.
As they turned to leave, Tom thrust the panda at Georg, and Georg made the appropriate cooing sounds as he took Tom’s hand in his own and they walked out of the store.
