Oh my lord, where to start?
Ok, as a mother, well, that would freak me out too but the lenght of going as far as to forbid Bill to utter Tom's name is beyond cruel. Separating the twins was punishment enough, because trust me, the damage that did is starting to look irreparable. On the other hand, I'm hoping I'm wrong, because it just hurts so much that the boys can't even LOOK at each other without thinking of the unmentionable past.
That unmentionable past that links them and pretty much sealed the deal on their emotions towards each other.
You can't run away from your past, because it always comes back to haunt you and in this case, the past is living right in your own home.
Every breathing space in that house must bring forth a memory for Tom that I'm sure he fights not to remember as much as Bill is, but for how long can they truly remain like this without breaking?
In a way, they ARE broken and they have to try to find themselves again. co-exist outside their link. THAT will mend itself with time, but they need this, because their souls are so scarred by the separation, so many feelings felt that they were not given a chance to explore, to figure out what it all meant because it's supposed to be wrong.
I hurt for them and I don't know how they can stand being next to the other and NOT talk about what happened once and for all.
And now after this scene, how hard is it going to be for Bill to not think about those feelings for his brother?
He can deny them all he wants, but they are there.
Tom has been made so much the culprit that I just hurt for him. He wasn't given a choice about anything before his life was thrown upside down and he was separated from the one constant in his life that kept him sanel.
I hurt for him, because he needs his twin back. He needs someone to hold him and kiss him and tell him that he did nothing wrong. That there's nothing wrong with him for feeling like that. Tom is the eldest and with that, there's an unspoken feeling of protection for his younger brother that comes automatically. But how is he supposed to feel now that Bill acts like he doesn't need him?
They can only fix each other. It's the only way. Simone can't fix them and won't, but as a mother, she needs to try and gain her sons back, because at the end of the day, they are her flesh and blood and were something to happen to either of them and they're harmed, the guilt would eat her alive.
It would me anyway.
I agree with steinsgrrl when she said that this deserves more reviews. So here I am, giving my own.
Please continue this soon, because I am left here on tenderhooks!
The emotion from Bill is overwhelming, but the unspoken emotion from Tom is just painful. There is so much hurt, so many things that were never said, so many feelings that are still there underneath the hurt. They have never gone away and that's what makes me hurt for them.
Please give us more! <333333333

Tom isn't just arrogant and cocky...he's dealing with this stuff too. I promise, promise, promise that things will start to look up for them. I couldn't put them through all of this without giving them at least a little bit of happiness. And chapter eight is now up. =)
