That's why they always tell me: "Communication is key!" It was very rude of Tom to assume Bill was gay, even looking the way Bill does. He made an ass out of himself and basically let things snowball from there. Bill could have also made the first move much earlier than that, he shouldn't have expected his brother to know, twin bond notwithstanding.
It's so sad, and I'm glad that the twins have kept the bond strong in real life. This fic totally made me see another side of it, and that last line just about killed me.
Author's Response: Communication definitely is key, and I think it's one of the biggest problems in every relationship. I think they both had a hand in what happened to their relationship. But I'm happy it doesn't seem to be like this in real life. And the boys are bad actors, so I have no doubt that we'd be able to see something askew if it were. =)

In coming back to rec this I realized I hadn't left a review. I'm so sorry. This story was like gulping that bitter pill you have to swallow. I felt bad for Tom, but also...not sure whether I should, given that what happened was kind of his fault... Anyhow, in summary, OUCH. Very effective ouch.
