maybe Simone should have *announced* them when they came walking in the door. yelled out something like *we're home*. I mean, wasnt Bills car outside? or at least that was my first thought. especially upon entering and not seeing Tom right away.
I love the fact that while at first, Bill wasnt all to sure about being with someone who had a little child, but now it seems that Janni already has him wrapped around her little fingers. just like dad. :)
Author's Response: I just don't think Simone thought of it, really. And Janni sure wouldn't. She's used to being able to run into her father's room in the morning and waking him up and if she just took off running to talk to her dad as soon as she got into the house...yeah, she'd end up busting in.
Poor Bill had apparently never been around a child a child that behaved decently, or if he did, he didn't notice because other kids were getting the attention. It's easier to notice the loud, obnoxious ones. ;p

I felt so bad for Bill when Simone was doing her thing, but I love that he was so supportive of Tom

this was a wonderful chapter, and even though Mr. Shasky seemed more than a little surprised that Tom has a partner, he didn't react the same way Heather's mom did, and that was nice. Looking forward to how you will explain to Janni the whole 'friend who sleeps with you' thing ,p
