I was expecting them to declare their love soon, you've left so many hints of it. But I can't help but be worried that it might be too soon. They do love each other, I have no doubt about that, but will it work out? You make me worry more about your characters than I worry about people irl -.-
I think Georg seems like a good friend. He's watching out for Tom, knowing how cruel this world can be. I love that he and Gustav have no problem with Tom being bi and I hope that more of the people in the town are like them. When he sees how happy Bill makes Tom and Janni, I'm sure he'll give them their blessing, too ,)
I just have to tell you again how wonderfully realistic this story is. You know how I sometimes don't appreciate that in a story, but that's mostly when it's overdone. This isn't overdone at all, this is perfect.
I think my favorite part of this chapter was the moment on the couch just before they told each other they loved each other. That moment was so warm and loving and good ^^
And I really like Tom interacting with his friends, it gives yet another relationship to this story that you explore and write so well.
Can't wait for what comes next, love (although I know there will be troubles in the future). This was beautiful. Oh, and Janni's "a daddy and a daddy" ... *fluttersqueal* she's gotta be the most adorable kid ever!

Author's Response: Mhm, I'm sure you know I thought long and hard about when to do the declaration, and then just seemed right. It's hard to say if it's too soon. I 'dated' my husband four years before we were married, but I have a friend who knew his wife three days before asking her to marry. Nearly ten years later, they are still married. So maybe it's too soon, maybe it won't last...but maybe it will!

I'm so loving the progression of their relationship, especially the 'partners' bit. That was so sweet and wonderful. And I could feel Tom embarrassment when Janni walked in on the and he came downstairs to a scolding mother. Eek! ♥
