You are so good at writing sweet, subtle moments between Bill and Tom that make me just melt. I'm afraid for what will happen when Anjelica files for custody. Argh! Can't she just leave them be? Then again, state and city laws come into play and, unfortunately, there are still several places that would allow the grandparents to gain custody of their grandchildren simply because the parent is gay. I'm hoping for a better outcome.

Okay, I'm just so relieved that they managed to get Janni back without trouble, for now. I knew that there'd be trouble, but, augh. Poor Tom. I can understand why he'd be so afraid; he loves Janni so much that I'm sure it would be the worst thing imaginable to have her taken away.
The end of this chapter made me smile, though. I adore the imagery of both Bill and Janni zipped into the coat, especially. Tom and Bill really are perfect parents for her, and I do hope the name and number Officer Callahan provided will help them out. I'm holding my breath looking forward to the next chapter, but I think I could have infinite patience for this one, as long as I got to find out what happened eventually. Much love. ♥
