Mel, this chapter was so tense for me, because it felt like something that could really happen, and I could just feel Tom's anxiety and the sense of not being in control of a situation even though he knew he was in the right. I'm so glad he got Janni back.

any judge would see that janni loves her daddy and is being raised well. i'm glad that officer gave them some help too. i think they will win, as they should. grandmas going to regret this because she wants to still be able to see her granddaughter after she loses.

Well it went over better than I expected. Thank god for Simone, I would have done the exact same thing. Then again, if I had been Tom, I would have smashed up a lot more stuff than just the phone first. As for predictions, well, I can't imagine that some boring old lady could be a better family for Janni than Tom and Bill. :) So if Grandma Icky takes it to court she's goin' down. 3:

Damn it, Tom is such a good dad! Even pushed this far, he's still doing his best not to say anything that would make her feel conflicted about the way she cares about her grandmother. And Bill was lovely in this part - I hope he realizes that simply being there was enough, it was probably like an anchor to sanity for Tom.

Love the way that Bill just picked Janni up so naturally, and tugged his jacket around her - my heart probably warmed as much as Tom's at that image! And I'm really glad they found a sympathetic cop.

This is going to court, is my prediction. And Anjelica is trying to get all of her ducks in a row by appearing the very image of grandmotherly perfection with this police visit. *snorts*

It makes me mad that Anjelica doesn't even seem to realize how good Tom's been to them all these years, giving them regular visitation rights with Janni when really, he didn't have to do it. Now she's abusing his trust by trying to kidnap her just because she doesn't like the fact that Tom's partner moved in? It's disgusting, and it makes me so mad!

I hope the info on the notebook paper is for a damned good lawyer who has a good grasp on GLBT rights cases. ;__;
