This made me cry. I feel everything from this story. It seems so true. I pray it never comes true, that everyone is equal one day. No one put down for who they love, that everyone has a right to be who they are.

Very fine story. I mean, the plot, the irony and the law related stuff. Did you know that until the first part of the 20th century homosexual practices were illegal in Britain and other countries? I guess you knew. The thing about the new words adds some extra something to the story, as many sci-fiction novels ("A clockwork orange" and "1984") have some invented words of their own. Oh, I felt a little bit uneasy when you described the process of Bill fighting for Tom's custody. You see, I'm studying to become a lawyer and my dad is also an attorney so I know the system can be tough.
Overall, this story is really artifully written.
Author's Response: Thank you. Both of my parents are lawyers in the American legal system and I grew up with a lot of foster care custody battles. I'm glad you liked it.

This is a very interesting start, and I look forward to reading more about Tom's acclimation to a world that has really skipped him over.
Although, one thing; your story can't be Het, Slash, and Gen. General means there are no pairings, so could you fix that as soon as possible? Thanks.

that was VERY well written.
all the facts that you put into the story seemed to be very realistic. and i think that the story's plot is tremendously original. we always describe the world in one particular way; it was nice to read something of a different perspective.
it really makes you wonder what our lives would be like if we lived in such a world.
keep up the amazing world.
