Author's Response: In one of the earlier chapters when they were talking about what they were when Tom was invited to a party by some girl wanting him to go with her, Tom had stated since Bill didn't want them to put a label on anything it meant that he could see other people. Bill started to agree before stating that no, he didn't want that. And THAT moment is as close to an "official" get together as the two of them have ever had. And with the two of them, that's as much as is needed. Not every relationship has to have that moment where one sits/stands/whatever and asks the other to be his/her boy/girlfriend. xxAli.
