Loved this progression! And I think both Tom and Bill behaved very realistically, considering the circumstances. Another awesome chapter!

That was amazing! I hadn't even realized that you'd updated, so I got to read two chapters instead of just one ^_~ It was excellent! I enjoyed the fighting sequence. It was an interesting twist on what would normally happen. In most stories, Tom would discover Bill, they'd fight, have sex. I'm SO glad that you didn't do that!

Your writing is so unique, and you're very talented! I can't wait to read more. :)

Reviewing once more... sorry! But I just re-read the first chapter like I said, and I don't think Bill is as spiteful toward Tom as he seems to be. I just think that he has a quick temper---which was evident when he became angry at Tom for crying in the desert---and naturally became very standoffish and agitated toward Tom when he woke up with a gun pointed in his face. So I doubt he hates Tom; Tom gave him a place to stay and continually treated him well, and he was obviously grateful for it in the first chapter. If anything, judging by the dreams, he seems kind of fascinated, maybe, by Tom. If he didn't like Tom, he wouldn't have followed him or claimed him like in the dreams. He's just a bit... possessive. However, I know I'm still missing big chunks of the entire picture, but this is what I've been able to come up with with the pieces you've given us. I'm curious, of course, why Bill is now human, but I feel like he has a very good explanation. I really really can't wait for more.

Author's Response: So yes, Bill is now human and there is most defenitely a lot that hasn't been said yet concerning Bill's motivations and reasons for being so close to Tom. A lot of what I had planned was, unfortunately pushed back. There are so many things regarding Bill that just won't make sense until Bill is human enough to explain them. Now that he is human, hopefully I'll be answering more questions than posing. Thanks for 3 reviews!

You've been posting chapters so quickly recently, I knew eventually you'd manage to post again before I reviewed, so I'm making sure to review now before I miss another one. I hope you don't mind if I review the last chapter here?

In the last chapter, I like how you showed Mirage's [or now, Bill's *grin*] attachment to Tom and vice versa. Obviously he wants to stick around Tom, and I feel like even if Tom hadn't brought him over, he would have found a way to get to Washington anyway.
Oh yeah, and while on that subject; flights as a rule of thumb roughly last the same amount of hours as time zones; so flying from DC to San Francisco would take about three hours, because they're three hours apart. However it also depends on how far the plane must travel north and south, so the best way to get an accurate time estimate would be to just look up flights on expedia.com or some such website.

Anyway, back to reviewing. After reading this chapter, I can see how well the last chapter had set it up; by placing Tom in the living room, away from 'Raj', by getting Georg out of the apartment, by giving Tom a reason to wake up and go find his cat, etc.

I loved Bill's introduction and Tom's approach to the situation; he seemed a little ridiculous with his handgun, but it was very realistic; I could understand all of his thought processes. I feel a little bad for both of them; Bill got attacked and Tom made a fool of himself. The part where they were fighting was very intense and I really can't blame Tom for choking Bill. And I also kind of expected Bill to be so cold to Tom because of the dreams, but I wonder why then Bill has followed Tom so adamantly. However, then again, just because he's been following Tom doesn't mean he's been doing it out of affection.

At this point, and really since the beginning of the story, I don't see how they'll end up falling for each other. There hasn't been a wisp of romance from the beginning and now Bill's attitude is really throwing me off. He's badass and I love his character, but I feel like he thinks Tom is rather beneath him. Like, miles beneath him. But I'm really curious to see why Bill is obsessed with Tom and how the romance will come about. Like I said; at this point, romance isn't even an option. It's basically been just gen until now and probably for a while, and I'm anxious to see how things will turn out. Oh, and I don't mean this as critique; in fact, I love that I can't see what's coming. It's a very good thing.

I probably should have looked the flight up and I apologize for my lapse.rnrnI also apologize if this story seems mislabled. It's kind of hard to work a romance between and man and a cat because I can't say that I'm all that into bestiality. However, Bill has some tricks up his sleeve and hopefully things will move a little bit more quickly between the two of them. ... I think I said that in my other review already, but really, that's all I can say. I love the reviews, by the way. I enjoy hearing your specific thoughts; it helps me keep on track with where I want to go. It also reminds me what I need to explain, sometimes I forget that not everyone is as familiar with the character motivations as I am. ^.^ I have a couple of things to work out about the progress of the next few chapters so it may be a few days but I promise I'll try to get one up soon! Bill's too much fun not to write!

hmm Just started reading this and I think the plot is interesting and the writing is good but I'm kinda hoping the story will pick up the pace a bit - cats are nice and all but....
