This is a very interesting premise...I love the idea of Shapeshifter!Bill...especially as a cat...it just screams Diva with sexy! Lol! I'm wondering what human experiences Bill will have- and how Tom will feel about them...also would really like for Georg and Bill to bond some more...maybe you could have Bushido as Tom's neighbour who hits on Bill...and makes Tom jealous...i'm also wondering about sleeping arangements...is Bill staying on the sofa or in Tom's room?
Author's Response: Well I'm glad you like it. Cat!Bill definitely screams diva and he wouldn't leave me alone until I attempted to write... not that I minded all that much *grin* It's difficult to balance all of the different situations because of the reactions between the two of them. But I am working towards it. I was also going to explain their sleeping arrangements in this chapter but it didn't work out. So, I'll be trying to work it in soon. Thanks for your suggestion about Bushido. I'm not really a fan of him but I do actually have a place for him. Thank you so much for your review, I really appreciate knowing what you think of my story. :)

All right, back to review properly like I promised! Unfortunately it won't be as thorough as it could be because I didn't even try to jot down notes on what I wanted to say when I read the chapters, I just figured I'd come back later and skim over what I read, so that's what I'm trying.
For one, I'm very glad that you continue to weave Bill's mysterious origin and the Egyptian plot with the development of Bill and Tom's relationship and the more 'normal' aspects of the story. You didn't just dump Bill in Tom's care, offer a half-assed explanation, and then carry on with all the juicy relationship details---which is something that probably tempts a lot of authors. I'm glad that the plot is just as strong now as it was ten chapters ago and that there will still be conflicts and mysteries to solve.
Bill's power to make Tom relive the night of his 'kidnapping' through his eyes was a nice detail because then the reader gets to see what kind of powers Bill still has as a human, and also see what truly happened that night. I was pretty curious for a while what had really gone down, so thanks for including that. Now I'm curious to see what else Bill is hiding.
I really love the way that you've characterized Bill. Considering that he isn't even the main character, who usually receives most of the deep details and the roundest character, that's very impressive. Even though he might get mad or aggravated with Tom, he's still loyal to him, and the way you portray this gives him a lot of depth. He's curious, he's bold, he's outspoken---you really did a wonderful job creating him. And the way that you explained Bill's existence, as a cat with high intelligence, caught between two worlds, was both creative and believable [at least, in the context of the story, of course] so kudos for that as well.
The movie scene was perfect---Bill's inability to understand common decency or movies, Andreas' reaction to him and his reaction to Andreas, and so on and so forth. I love the paradox you've created, with Bill being so witty and knowledgeable---always having a comeback, even in German---yet so naïve and unworldly at the same time
What else? All else I can say is that these last to chapters were nearly flawless, so keep up the good work! I look forward to the next chapter greatly :)
Author's Response: I cannot tell you how much I dearly love seeing my story from your perspective. I agonize over so many little details that it can be stressful always wondering if I've gotten it right or not. Apparently I am, which makes me sigh a big sigh of relief. Bill's not the main character, but he's certainly the most vibrant. Poor Tom, hopefully I will be able to do him more justice in future chapters when Bill really puts him to the test. Thank you so much for this review! I glow now, I'm sure because I'm smiling so widely. This chapter was wonderful, I just wanted to drop by and say so since I haven't reviewed for a while. I haven't paid much attention to THF lately, but now I'm completely caught up and I'll write you a proper review at another moment where I have more time; I just wanted to let you know that I'm still reading. :)

Wow. This story just gets better and better with each chapter. There's an air of mystery to it all, and even though a lot of questions have been answered, you're still left intrigued, and feeling as if there's more left to be said. I absolutely adore this story, and I can't wait to read more. :)

This is so... wow. I love Bill, and how you've characterized him; he's sly one minute, and full of child-like curiosity the next, and then, he's so sly and smug that it's almost condescending, yet not. XD (Did that make sense? LOL) I can't wait for more!
Oh, and just so you know, I think something happened with the coding, because the second half of your fic is italicized. It starts at, "What are you doing to me? Tom tried to ask. The vicious onslaught had..." and `ontinues through the rest of the fic. Just letting you know. :)
