Aile is so cute! I love that bird. I think the detail in this is so wonderful and well thought out. Tom and Bill are well developed and well presented. I couold see this as a movie or something. It's really colorful and full of personality. I've never come across anything like this before. I think I've told you this before, but I'm still a little nervous about them being together but I can't help but feel like it's so natural in this. So many stories focus too much on just sex and then there are the select few that actually create a plot and true story line that you forget about it. It's not important anymore that they are of the same sex because the story it's self is just that good. This is THAT GOOD :) It feels right for them and it feels right for the reader as well. Awesome job here. I want to read more. Update soon

I didn't want sex or even the fact that they're both guys to be the main point of the story, but then I started to worry that people might get bored before Bill and Tom ever got together! OMG!I didn't see you updated this with several chapters already!It only had the two first chapters when I read it first.Then again,i was not around so often due to finals etc...Your writing has to be one of the most addicting here.It's so unique in its own way and your plt is original.I like it when stories are set in another world,with another vocabulary.Plus it is following its own logic and is so convincing.I'm so glad you are already featured,because if you weren't I'd pree the "feature a fic" button right away.Thank you for this,and I know already,that I will read everything such a talented author would have in stores!

And I am so going to enjoy Tom being there as well! Aile as their daughter made me awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww to no end. There is no cuter scene than that, I assure you.
I had missed this story and I am very glad to see it updated today of all days and Gustav has such a wonderful role in it. Bill and Tom are a bit more at ease with each other, not as akward as the chapter before it and I'm sure they'll get there soon enough.
I've known Simone has some major plan for Tom that will eventually be revealed but I am starting to wonder just what kind of history she had with Gordon, because this has become more than just wanting to take care of a friend's son. Perhaps one of those Master Clockworkers and nobility pairing Tom knows about?
Can't wait for more in any case! <333

...and then he favored her with a crooked smile that made her heart ache, it was so like Gordon's had been... - tick tock, simone had a feelings for the clockworker, but who could ever resist a Doyen right?
...He hummed a string of notes along with her, and then laughed, musing that he and Tom had served as Aile's parents together... - yeah, now theres an idea. clockwork + magework = Aile
...The scent of Tom's breath reached him, unfamiliar but not unpleasant, and Bill glanced to the side, focusing on the earnest gaze of the clockworker as they listened in silence... - heeeeeee, i could just picture this scene =P
...Beside him, Tom made a strangled sound that could have been a laugh, a sob, or a combination of both... - i'm leaning towards both, like a sob that was tried to be covered up with a laugh. poor tom needs to do some spring-cleaning
...For a tick, all else dropped straight from Tom's mind, with those slender fingers curling into the fabric of his shirt, and the warm breath on his cheek, carrying the scent of what could have been fruit, could have been a flower Tom had never seen... - i really like this part. and i totally agree, bill has a way of doing that, making one crazy just being with him

It just made me giddy that things are starting to work with Tom and Bill. Wahaha..XD I wonder if same sex relationship is allowed in their world, though..-__- That's just one conflict. Awww, I love Aile, and this :) it is such a great little reality you've created and I love diving into it :) I like how, despite Bill being the prince, and Georg guardsman, and Gustav the librarian, they all are sort of friends :) Then you still have the light teasing that they always seem to do :)
lol Bill on his best behavior, for some reason I really want to see him not on his best behavior, and see how Tom handles him :) hopefully we'll get to see them at the luncheon? Will Georg by hanging around to keep an eye on Bill? This is all so great :) and wow, I love how you can write in this different style, and with the ticking, it like completes the whole world.
