I was curious and a bit anxious to learn more after the first bit with Simone and Jorg but now I'm thoroughly distracted. What a sweet note to end part one on. Aww Tom was so cute! He was so nervous about the little toy he was to bring to the prince. His thought process behind it was so sweet though. However, Bill is young at heart and is only maybe 16 years old in this so it is safe to say he still has a childish love of toys. Bill's curiosity and near sadness when Tom took the little frog apart to show him how everything fit together was endearing to me. I could almost see his face so cute. Like Bill's mage work I can see Tom's clockwork so clearly his attention to his craft is as intricate as Bill's illusion was life like. Indeed Bill is powerful if the energy he used to create the illusion in the last chapter could power the clockworkings of the palace for one day. It would be wonderful to see if with Tom's help if Bill could put the frog together again. If Bill is to learn from Tom they could be powerful and beautiful together as a team. Once again your attention to detail has made it possible for me to understand the wonders of Tom's creations as well as Bill's. Well done and can't wait to read more soon:)

They are adorable. I was practically holding my breath along with them. And Simone's "they will need time" certainly builds a sense of urgency.
So Aile is the product of Bill's raw, untrained will? Very impressive!
Looking forward to more, both in terms of main plot and these delightful boys getting closer. ;)
Author's Response: Muahaha, my foreshadowing, it is obvious. And indeed, Bill was quite powerful back then, though he's never been keen enough on his lessons to train back up to that level. Eep, I'd better shush on that subject before I give anything away!

Lovely chapter! I'm really enjoying their relationship, their banter is real and intimate. The teasing is cute.
I'm very curious about Simone and Jorg's conversation at the glass. I'll just have to be patient, but it's very difficult, especially with a story this good! :D
Author's Response: Thank you! This chapter was an excuse to write some unadulterated Bill/Tom fluff, I'll admit. And there'll be some more plot development next chapter, so you'll maybe find out a liiiiittle more about Simone and Jorg's plans...

I've had this open in a tab for so long, always wanting to read it and sort of looking at it longingly every night when I still hadn't found the time.
I finally found the time and now I sort of wished I'd waited until it was done! I'm loving this story so much; the intrigue of it, the burgeoning relationship between Bill and Tom, the characters themselves. I'm really anxious for the next chapter now! :D

lol, I think I like that notion too XD Gosh, every time I read one of these chapters, I just am amazed with this world you have created. Just wow *_* And on top of the amazing universe, you have the characters which are 3D going on 4D if that's even possible. I just love it :D
Which could indeed be true, for Bill made a habit of meandering from one to another and on, never attending only a single party.
I just love how you can word everything. This line in particular, it was how someone would think, but it was written, in this great style that you have :)

The artwork was absolutely breathtaking! Amazing attention to detail, and I loved the expression on Bill's face. The bird was quite captivating as well.

Aww Poor Bill. He tired himself out so trying to impress Tom and the others. He's so stubborn though he wouldn't be Bill if he wasn't. It was cute how worried Tom was about him and Bill was not so upset about letting Tom help him either :) Poor Hight Prince, he cannot go to the parties tonight but he gets to have Tom come to visit.. I think I would rather have Tom than some stuffy party with nobility anyway. I can't wait to see how this goes.

Dang it, I got lured into this fic in the MIDDLE! (Or maybe halfway through the beginning?) The world is absolutely fascinating to me. I'm such a huge fan of imaginative world-building, and this fic absolutely shines with it.
Loving the character details in this chapter. And it's quite striking to see how powerful Bill is, and the payment for that in how drained it can leave him.
The fanart is awesome, of course. ;) What a fantastic complement to the story!
