I can not bring myself to read this, just right when Tom starts calling I break into to tears because this sort of thing gets close to home, it's... It speaks to me and it makes me feel weird, I have the same problems and it's just so hard read about. Hopefully I'll get to finish before break ends.

Author's Response: In some cases, yes you do call. In others, it would make it worse. Sometimes you can't force them into getting help. They need to find something to hold on, something to make them want to live, on their own. Calling a professional, in some cases, will only make them more determined to do it and they will resent you for it. Sometimes all it takes is making sure they know you won't let him fall while they struggle to find their footing.
