Tom and Bill Kaulitz are youko, members of a race set apart from humans in looks as well as power. Adopted by Simone and Gordon Trumper, the Kaulitz kits face prejudice and forces seeking to pull them apart the older they get. The rapidly-growing kits must face the challenges of being the only two youko where human customs hold sway, come to terms with their own instincts, and rise up to the thrall that music holds in their lives.

Tom and Bill Kaulitz are different from everyone in Leroux.
