I swear that I'm a realist, but I manage to persuade myself into believing anything to the point of being delusional, but I'm working on it. Don't take me too seriously. I'm a very tongue in cheek kind of person ;) Sadly, that doesn't stop me from being a tad self destructive. I'm also proud to be apart of the small amount of people that are die hard TH fans in Kentucky because we're pretty rare.

The way I describe my discovery of Tokio Hotel sounds like a 80's romance-comedy. There I was getting ready to go to school and absolutely dreading it. MTV was blaring from my TV as I was putting on my shoes, hurrying so I wouldn't miss the bus. I actually had a good 10 minutes because I set my alarm ahead of the time to trick my morning self (still do this in fact). No doubt - I was pretty paranoid. Bending down with laces in hand, I was prepared to tie my shoes until the sound of a static-y broadcast caught my attention.

In the end, I never tied my other shoe because I was too engaged in their Ready, Set, Go! music video. That was the last song I heard before going to school that day, and I couldn't get it out of my head. Thinking back to it throughout that day, I thought were just a Seattle rock band trying to back it big.

Though for some strange reason, I never bothered to remember the name of the band or look up the song. I eventually forgot about them for awhile. However, fate had a way of working when this boy (who was always late to my math class) burst through the doors promoting Tokio Hotel. He had "Scream coming out soon!" written on his arm. I just ignored him and thought he was crazy. Yes, I forgot about them again.

The day of the MTV Video Music Awards, it felt like some weird force was just begging me notice them. I didn't vote for it or anything, but I watch it every year. I missed the red carpet entrance. My mother ended up vaguely retelling me about it. I was slightly interested who showed up in a monster truck.

Nothing really clicked in my head until I heard Ready, Set, Go! playing and someone say Tokio Hotel. Something in my brain kind of switched and I freaked out the moment they won Best New Artist.

Hearing Bill talk, I realized that they weren't from Washington, and I knew I had to finally look them up.
