Carrying heavy memories and the weight of the world’s conflicts and problems on their shoulders, in the tragic catastrophes of War, the hopeless ruins of a Russian town, two people go beyond what they know and all they’re supposed to believe in to find themselves redeeming one another from their past, and present. A torn nightgown; the sacrifice of already scarce food; profound and avid hearts attempt to survive in the recklessness of warfare. Inevitably and reluctantly, they find themselves in an impossible and fatal situation that could ultimately lead to both their deaths. But it’s the journey that counts.
