How did I not see this before? It popped up in the random story box and I was so sure I'd read it before I almost didn't look. Now I'm glad I did, but oh, the hurt. I'm gonna have to go read something happy now because that pain is visceral, it just cuts right through me. As far as I'm concerned, that's a sign of a job well done!
I admit, I kind of want to see a sequel set like, fifteen years in the future when Daniel's marriage has fallen apart and he seeks Gustav out again and it turns out they're still in love and there are hearts and puppies and rainbows or... something.

Oh wow, I have no idea why I decided to read this. I don't really read stories about Gustav and absolutely not with OMC, but for some reason I did and man, you broke my heart! This was so beautiful and so sad and now I just want to hug him because awe, poor baby :(

Oh, that was sad....
Beautiful. Extremely well written... but sad.
I was preparing myself for Daniel to die and then... Somehow this is worse. They have to live apart. And that's just horrible.
My heart breaks for them.

that was very sad and very sweet... and I feel so sorry for Gustuv, that sort of thing is so hard to break to the people you love, and you never know how they will react. Two of my brothers found out real Fast who their Real friends where when they came out being Bi... so I can understand poor Gusti's fears...
