I've mentioned this on other reviews: I came into the TH / THF fandom in Jan’22. The vast majority of fics I've read are quite old and I'm sure the authors have moved on (and probably wont even see new reviews), BUT I figure why not leave one anyway… I enjoyed this fic and wanted to say thank you for writing and sharing it!

I loved your story !!!! I am so happy about Tom's success and that they have both been able to get through their social classes and struggled to be together. I guess Bill's parents finally accepted that their son's boyfriend could be considered an artist, after good reviews from the press. Thank you!!!

That site is really impressive, I saw the photos !!!! For someone like Bill who has already seen elegant places, exotic food and drinks, almost nothing could surprise him, but taking a tour and touring a place like that, it must have been fantastic, a rewarding experience, so Tom was right in choosing the place of his date.

I've read this story before and loved it on both rounds! I totally think this is awesome! One teeny tiny little thing that I would've wanted was another sex scene. I mean there is a great sex scene in the story, but it would've been nice to have another one close to the end :D But that's just me wanting to constantly read about sex XD But this is really such an amazing story that it just has to go to my favorites!! :DD

I love it! I would have loved to See the Graffiti though ;)

Author's Response: I'm so happy to hear that! :) Well, the graffiti was supposed to be the picture in the banner, without Bill and Tom's faces and the text of course, so I guess you can see it ;)

I know i'm reading this story kind of late and you will probably not answer me, but i just wonder how old Bill is?? And also i wanted to say you're awesome! I love the whole concept of the story and you are a fantastic writer and so good with words :-) just wanted to let you know that and that i'm enjoying you're story A LOT and it's keeping me up waaay too late :p hugs!

Author's Response:

Hello there! I always appreciate reviews, late or not, so thank you for taking the time to write one! :)

You know, I actually had to start looking through the chapters myself to figure out how old Bill is. Unfortunately, I failed myself *facepalms* But, if I was to make a qualified guess (which I assume would be appropriate at this point), I think he's in his late twenties ;)If I remember it correctly I think Tom's around twenty-four, and Bill's supposed to be a couple of years older thank him, so yeah... I hope that was helpful :)

Lastly I just want to thank you for your kind words. I love writing, so to hear people think I have a knack for it is all I need to hear to want to continue writing :) And also, I'm very pleased to hear you're enjoying the story! :D

Hm, you’re welcome;) But it’s usually surprises me a bit… what to thank for? I just read, liked it and left my thoughts:) Not a big deal. Anyway ‘liking part’ doesn’t depend on me at all. You may thank yourself as well:)

Oh, dark stuff… yeah, I understand pretty much. I’m not completely against it or something. And life itself can be very hard and dreary but… not to mention, that some things are simply disgusting to read, it’s often ridiculously exaggerated. One personage ran from home ‘cause his alcoholic father used to beat him while drank (and his mother was weak to defend him or he simply doesn’t have mother). Of course, he was raped couple of times… sure, what else can happen with lonely beautiful boy in the streets? Other personage lost his parents/one parent/close relative/lover (parents are the best , for more angst ) in a terrible car accident and he is hurt (that’s understandable), he can’t live with such memory, his life is cheap and bleak. They meet under dark circumstances, hold to each other and you expect them to heal each other’s wounds and help from the bottom. But, hell, no – these wounds are too deep to be healed! Meanwhile, several corpses appears, people ripped in shreds with great violence. Perverted chief inspector suspects one of characters, so they start running again. All the way someone gets attack, someone is tortured, someone is raped again, someone tries to commit a suicide… 100% it will have happy-end:)) Oh, and it’s all described thoroughly. Always want to tell author “Hey, you‘ll be terribly surprised and shocked even, but you can make people cry, sympathy your characters and give them very strong emotions without cutting heads off or splitting blood in every possible direction. Want to entertain (O_O) and impress? Cheap way, to my mind.”

For Georg I’d use “eccentric” and “incredible”)) But “fantabolous” is good, too. At least I was like “GEORG!? Srsly? O_o Really Georg? I can’t believe it! Georg…” and laughed out loud, literally:)

Actually “two people meeting, falling in love and getting together” is the most intriguing and interesting thing to observe (though, second to Johnny Depp acting fool in “Pirates” or other project:)). It’s just when they finally got together, started dating, confessed their feelings… I don’t know, had sex, comes calm, ‘still’ moment. And if it’s not some detective or fantasy with permanent mysteries, you need something to keep attention… like, new obstacles, ex-boyfriends/girlfriends ‘coming to life’, turning point in relationships, personal tragedies and so on. It’s alright without this stuff though. Guess, the thing that kept me with you story was… your story:) It has… can’t find proper word… an atmosphere, may be?.. individuality, own specific air, something that makes me sense author behind the text. Not a rare thing but not an often either. Plenty of times came across stories (not only TH fics, not fanfics even) that were pretty interesting and skilfully written but terribly impersonal.

Author's Response:

Yeah, okay, so I guess I'll have to agree with you that it might sound a bit strange to thank you for liking my story.. But, in either case I think there is a reason to thank you for reviewing :) Thing is, as an author I'm always worried people won't like my stories and getting positive feedback is sort of the greatest thing there is, you know? So I always feel the need to thank people for that. I mean, they did bother to take some time to tell me what they thought about it, so it's the least I can do. Also, I do honestly really appreciate it :) But, I will do as you say and thank myself *pats oneself on the back* There, that felt good XD

You know, I think you just wrote yourself an outline for a really great story. Only one thing I'd like to change, if you don't mind: Instead of giving it a happy ending, kill everybody! Or, possibly even better, kill only one of the lovers. Though you have to make sure it's the others fault, so that he will have to live on knowing he was the one who caused it! :D I mean, that does sound like an awesome story..if only you could make it hardcore and overly exaggerated enough... :p But yes, I do agree with you that it feels a bit cheap the way everything magically works out in the end.

Georg is and will always be an amazing character. I think he's the one I have the most fun with every single time I write something new. I guess he's just a very versatile character, if you know what I mean? He could be anything from really manly to really flamboyant or even feminine. He's quite easy to work with :)

I agree with you, that the way people form relationhips and how they develop is always interesting. (I also agree on the Johnny Depp part - he's lush!) But keeping the tention, or the drive, is harder because as soon as things fall into place there isn't that much of a story left to tell. After it's just everyday life. And though that might not be as boring as I'm making it sound, it's also hard to make it exciting enough to make it a good read. That you think I managed just that, well, I'm flattered :)

Aaaand, now I don't know what else to write. Though, I'm guessing it's a long enough post already and I shouldn't feel too bad about stopping here *wipes sweat of my brow* So, yes.. Thanks for the long and lovely review! I love hearing your thought on these things :)

*Looks at the date of last update and then at the calendar.* Better late than never, right?
Definitely my kind of story. The realistic one. Don’t actually mean genre – it could be sci-fi, fantasy or paranormal, but plausible characters, life-like situations and presence of common sense in general. It’s also cool that there’s no abused characters, abandoned children, dark horrible secrets in the past, rape, tortures and so on. *Don’t give a damn for loud voices chanting “This is fluff! This can’t happen in real life!”:)* Really love plot and characters (OMG, Georg... his first appearance was big lol). But, to be honest, in the middle when all things between boys were settled up for the time, I felt... not bored, but something like “if I quit reading, I won’t feel like missing something or won’t be keen on finding out what’s next”. Glad I overcame)) ‘cause the whole story is complete, all-of-a-piece and nice. OK, understatement)) It is VERY good and somehow true. My personal favourite moments: Tom telling Bill the story behind his finished painting and Gustav who understood that being himself and on his own he screws things up. :)

Author's Response:

Late is always better than never! ;) I'm so glad to hear you liked it!

I'm a lot like that myself, actually. All the unrealistic stuff usually bugs me to no end. Not that dark stories can't be realistic, it's just that usually it feels like the author's kept adding stuff because they didn't think the story dark enough, or that they felt like they needed more to keep the readers entertained or something. You know what I mean? Also, fluff can be realistic, you just need to make it...I dunno, not fluff on candyfloss-colored clouds with sprinkles and glitter on top? :p

I love Georg too, he's just so.. Uhm, what's the word? Fantabolous! XD

You know, I do get what you mean. That 'dull' part in the middle is alwys a challenge. I mean, it's a bit difficult when there's no real drive behind the story, other that two people meeting, falling in love and getting together. If there was a more definite goal, like solving a mystery or whatnot, it would have been easier keeping the drive all the way through. I'm glad you overcame it though. It's always frustrating when you lose your readers halfway through ;)

In the end, I'm just extremy happy to hear that you enjoyed my story :) Thank you so much!

I love this so, so, so, so, so fucking damn much!! A few chapters in i was like "Omfg, just fuck already" but then FVGBHJN, when Tom asked him to be his boyfriend, i think i cried for 5 minutes. Not even kidding.

I love how it takes some time for them to meet each other and how ther relationship develops to such an strong trust for each other. I love how they lived 2 different lives and still found a way too each other, y'know? Gah, love this with all my heart. Good job!

Author's Response:

I'm so happy to hear you liked it! :D

And I do know how you feel about the fucking - it came waaaaay to late, didn't it? ;) I mean, in the first outline I made it was meant to happen earlier in the story, but then as I began writing it I kept putting it off. Odd, huh? I mean, I really wanted it to happen earlier... Makes no sense.

I'm actually happy I brought you to tears with that one. Feels like I've accomplished something..or, you know, something... :p

I do know! I'm happy they found each other too ;) Thank you so much for this awesome review!

This was wonderful. I love reading fics where they're unrelated, because often I look back and think "Wow, change their names, and it could actually be a published book." This was one of those times. A lot of people comment things back like "Yeah, a gay porn novel is going to get published." But my response (which I don't tell them, just think) is often "Why not? Het gets published, why not slash?" I would love to see this published. I just think it'd be so beautiful and wonderful, especially if it got big. Of course, the "everyone is gay"-verse is a little unrealistic, but occasionally an everyone-is-gay-verse ends up seeming more realistic than it seems it would, and those are the true masterpieces. Yours had that sense of reality to it, even though it was an everyone-is-gay-verse. Very well done, and I can't wait to read more of your stuff ^-^

Author's Response:

Wow, thank you so much! :D I mean, honestly, you're too kind! You're review rendered me speechless... I don't know what else to say than THANK YOU! :)

Oh, and I definitely agree with you! Why shouldn't shlash be published? I personally know a whole bunch of people that would buy it ;)
